On Sunday (29/7/2007), the Moblib team helped to organize a children’s gathering with Plan International, CWS, Lestari, Ciqal, Interaksi and Handicap International at the Affandi Museum on Laksda Adisutjipto road, in Yogyakarta. The theme for the day was “Every Child has The Same Rights”.
The day was used to promote the campaign for inclusive education for children that have special needs / different ability ( diffable ). For some time students with special needs have been taught in fantastic schools. However, when they need to return to their communities now and then they experience difficulties because they are not used to talking to and interacting with their friends in their community.
On the day there was a painting competition, workshop and stage performances with hundreds of children taking part with assistance from organizing NGOs.
The theme of the painting competition was “Every child has the same rights”.
From the activity it is hoped that all parties involved are more aware that children with special needs have the same rights as other children.
